Everyday PV life with evalii® at Cross4Channel
Welcome to our look behind the scenes at evalii®!
In the interview about pharmacovigilance (PV) monitoring at Cross4Channel GmbH, we talk to our PV agents Caroline, Franka and Nafissa about the use of evalii® and how it has revolutionized our everyday lives.
Can you give us an overview of your daily tasks in PV monitoring?
Franka (veterinarian): Of course! Our daily job is exciting and dynamic. Our main task is to regularly analyze incoming comments from digital channels such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and many more and to classify and process them according to their relevance for pharmacovigilance. We also check the messages for compliance with netiquette and the need for moderation.
What do your customers expect from PV monitoring?
Nafissa (Academic focus: Biology):
Above all, customers expect us to have a reliable overview of their digital channels. They want to be sure that we capture all relevant posts and respond to them quickly. This means that we review the messages and ensure that reportable events are identified, processed and reported. It is also important that we adhere to legal requirements. At the end of the day, our customers just want everything to run smoothly and not have to worry about PV monitoring.
How do you ensure that customer-specific requirements are also met?
Caroline (Human Medicine): We ensure this by working closely with our customers and fully understanding their specific needs and policies.
This information is then incorporated into our work processes. We adapt our procedures to meet our customers' exact requirements. Through regular communication and feedback, we ensure that we are always up to date and continuously improve our services.
That sounds impressive! What role does evalii® play in this?
Caroline: evalii® is a real supporter. It helps us by intelligently displaying the incoming data. The algorithm automatically categorizes it and displays the results in a traffic light system. This significantly reduces our workload and ensures complete and clear documentation. We can therefore concentrate on the more complex aspects of our work while evalii® takes care of the routine tasks.
Can it be done without you as agents?
Nafissa: We PV agents are the heart of PV monitoring. 😊 Even though evalii® does the preliminary work, we are the ones who carry out the final review, reaction and reporting. We also offer support in community management, detect spam and impending shitstorms and stay in direct contact with the team or, if necessary, with the customer. This means that the channels we manage remain optimally monitored.
How are you prepared for your job?
Frank: Our preparation for the job is very thorough. We go through intensive training that covers both theoretical and practical aspects of pharmacovigilance. We learn the basics and best practices. We are also trained in how to monitor the different digital channels and use the necessary tools. In addition, there is customer-specific training to ensure that we understand the specific requirements of each customer.
In addition, we hold regular refresher courses to ensure we always stay up to date. And if we have questions or need support, we have an interdisciplinary network of experts at Cross4Channel.
That sounds like a very intensive training period.
And how do you strengthen yourselves as a team and how do you keep in touch?
Caroline: As a team, we place great value on collaboration and mutual support. Regular team meetings are an essential part of our routine. In these meetings, we exchange information about current projects, challenges and best practices. These meetings are not only informative, but also provide a platform to share ideas and learn from each other.
In addition to formal meetings, we also have informal gatherings. These can be after-work meetings or virtual coffee breaks. These activities help us build a strong personal connection and promote a positive work environment.
We also organize regular training sessions to ensure we are all up to date. These sessions are often interactive.
Nafissa: We also have a culture of open communication. Everyone on the team is encouraged to ask questions and share ideas. We also use group chats to respond quickly and efficiently.
Through these measures, we as a team not only remain well informed but also closely connected, which helps us to successfully meet the demands of pharmacovigilance monitoring together.
Thank you very much for the open conversation with you! 😊
